The idea for this interactive workshop was modeled on ideas from two sources:
Modeled after Google's "Genius Hour," this session is time for the exploration of individual passions and interests. Everyone has a "passion project" inside of them, waiting to come to fruition when time is provided.
Campfire spaces (home of the lecture), Watering Holes (home to conversations between peers), Caves (places for quiet reflection), and Life (places where students can apply what they've learned)
This session gives the learner TIME to peruse a variety of free apps, collaborate with others, reflect on their use in the classroom, and later use the app in their learning and teaching.
Objectives:
Explore, use, collaborate/share findings regarding different apps
Overview
Explore: three subject categories of apps (20 minutes each category)
Participants will select a subject area to explore individually. (Personal explore time)
Take notes on apps you explored in Notes (installed app), PaperPort Notes,Evernote, or your choice.
